Nature is now so often experienced through a digital lens.
More and more we rely on technology to relate to our surroundings and to each others…
These digital collages , to me , echo the complexity of our sometimes disembodied digital lives.
Many of my works arc back to the random events and the unpredictability of things despite our attempts at frae them into simplified models. These Eucledian shapes symbolise the human mind at odds with its Natural environment. They look alien and look like they don’t belong but they exist nevertheless and evolve into something else… I was also inspired by renaissance artists such as Durer, Paulo Ucello’s geometric drawings, Lorenz Stoer’s geometric Landscapes and Hirschvogel’s “Geometria” illustrations.
